Are admissions open at Mehran University?

Admissions to Undergraduate Programs for the Academic Session 2022-23 (22 Batch) at MUET, Jamshoro, and SZAB Campus, Khairpur Mir’s are expected to start from the month of Mid July 2022.

When will be the Pre-Admission Test conducted for MUET?

The computer-based Pre-Admission Test of the Mehran University of Engineering and Technology shall be conducted from the 3rd week of August 2022 at the Main Campus of Mehran University of Engineering & Technology, Jamshoro and MUET, SZAB Campus, Khairpur Mirs’.

What is the eligibility criteria for admission at MUET?

Candidates who have passed their HSC Part-II annual examination in 2022 or prior to the annual examination of 2019 with at least 60% aggregate marks are eligible for admission under the Regular and Self-Financing Scheme.

Which programs I can apply for at MUET?

Pre-Engineering students are eligible to apply for all the programs.
General Science students are eligible for Telecommunication Engineering, Software Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Systems Engineering, and all BS programs.
Pre-Medical students are eligible for Biomedical Engineering, BBA, Garments Manufacturing, and English only.
Commerce students are eligible for BBA, Garments Manufacturing, and English only.

What is MUET CPN?

The merit list of the candidates for each district/category is prepared to calculate the overall merit, based on the marks obtained in SSC, HSC, and Pre-admission Test, multiplying them with the respective weightage and adding the result to calculate the CPN-.Composite Percentage Number
CPN Formula: (SSC%*0.1)+(HSC%*0.3)+(Entry Test Score*0.6) = (A+B+C) = Total CPN

What is the admission fee of MUET?

Fees are payable at the time of admissions. For 21-Batch admission fee for BE, B.Arch, and B.CRP programs was approximately 41,000 PKR, and for non-engineering programs (i.e. BBA, BS) was approximately 54,000 PKR.

Which documents are required to submit the online form?

The admission form will be submitted online on the portal along with the following documents:

CNIC or B-Form
Domicile / PRC
SSC Marks (i.e., Matric Marksheet) Certificate
HSC Marks (i.e., Intermediate Marksheet) Certificate

What documents are required on the day of the interview?
